Aldo Valdez is a painter and photographer. Born in 1976, and raised in Houston, Texas, he moved to Los Angeles in 1995 to attend Otis College of Art and Design, receiving his BFA in 2000. In Los Angeles he discovered a vibrant urban art scene and joined an eccentric artist collective, Dispute Resolution Services. He pursued a painting practice heavy in experimentation, often incorporating photography, appropriated billboard vinyl, and various alternative media into his work. He now resides in San Francisco.
