Artist Statement Carly Troncale currently lives and works in Southern Norway. She lived in San Francisco from 2006 until 2009 and earned her MFA in Social Practice/Relational Aesthetics at California College of the Arts in 2008. She has worked as a curator and educator in several arts institutions including the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts and the University of Richmond, Virginia. She was a resident at Root Division from 2008-09. This past year Ms. Troncale received two creative grants, one project grant from Cultiva Express in Kristiansand and a working grant from the region of West Agder in Norway. Her current project is ANSR-American Nordic Site Response, consisting of site-specific research, sculptures and drawings. She exhibits internationally at locations in Norway and the United States, including the Sørlandets Kunst Museum in Kristiansand and is a member of the Young Artists Union (UKS) in Oslo. Website
