I am primarily interested in the tension that exists between materials, between neon and concrete, electricity and water, the light source and the dark room, the viewer and the light. This tension brings dead materials to life, reinterprets urban space, and reestablishes a viewer's relationship to light, the very element that enables us to see, feel warmth, and live.
