Lila Afiouni is an Australian artist. She studied at the National Art School, Sydney, receiving a BFA with Honors in Drawing and a Masters in Teaching Visual Art at the University of Sydney. Her discipline varies from painting and drawing to installation. In 2007 she was awarded an artist-in-residency at the Cite Internationale des Arts in Paris. She recently completed a new series of paintings based on the aesthetic of radios and the metaphysics of connectivity between radio and listener. This series was shown at the annual Google Show at Hardware Gallery, Sydney in 2010.
