This class helps would-be artists kick-start or rediscover their creative pursuits by providing the tools to begin and maintain regular artistic practice. An equally important goal of Stealing Time is each student's development and completion of a self-designed project. The class will meet for 6 sessions over a 9-week period. During the gaps between meetings, students will work on their projects independently, developing the habits they'll employ after the course concludes. Students should bring to class the kernel of an idea they wish to develop, as well as a willingness to engage their peers in meaningful dialogue. The course is open visual artists, writers, and musicians, as well as those who have a creative itch to scratch but haven't yet chosen a medium.
