Street Styles at Root Division*
Street Styles is an after-school visual arts workshop for San Francisco high school students, that teaches the history, techniques, and styles of the global art movement known as street art. Street Styles is offered at Root Division and taught by internationally known artist Dave Warnke.

Goals of the Street Styles class:
• Promote creativity
• Provide inspiration and instruction
• Create a safe, supportive and fun learning and working environment
• Teach the history and cultural context of street art
• Encourage devotion to work
• Give youth the experience of making art
• Develop studentıs communication and expressive skills
• Connect youth with the art community
• Discuss and debate the difference between art and vandalism
• Provide an opportunity for youth to show, sell, and trade their artwork

*Street Styles is a fiscally sponsored project of Root Division. Donations can be made to the Street Styles program by making payment to Root Division and putting "Street Styles" in the donation/check memo.
