All classes are in person at Root Division, unless otherwise noted.

As soon as possible! This will secure your spot and make sure that you have time to gather the supplies needed for your course. We strongly encourage students to register at least 72 hours in advance of the first class to ensure placement and receipt of material lists.

Unless otherwise noted upon registration, you will receive a list of materials to purchase prior to your first class meeting.

Registration for Root Division adult education classes is Final Sale. To ensure our non-profit can continue supporting our working artists and instructors, we do not offer refunds or class credits for cancellations made less than 72 hours before class. To receive a full refund you have to cancel 72 hours prior to the start of the first class by emailing classes@rootdivision.org

Same-day absences: If you cannot attend, your seat is considered forfeited. However, you are welcome to send a friend in your place! Please just notify classes@rootdivision.org of the name change at least 2 hours before the session begins.

Root Division reserves the right to cancel any class due to low enrollment or unforeseen circumstances. Decisions regarding low enrollment are typically made at least 72 hours prior to the class start time. If we cancel a class, you will be notified via email and issued a full refund within 5-7 business days. Our liability is limited to the cost of the class registration fee.

We do not offer class credits. All registrations must be used for the specific date and time purchased. If you cannot attend, we recommend gifting your seat to a friend. Please just notify classes@rootdivision.org of the name change at least 2 hours before the session begins.

Yes! Register with a friend and get 10% off the class fee. Register with 5 friends and one person takes the class for free.

Our instructors work hard to create an inclusive and positive learning environment for people from all walks of life. You always reserve the right to have your camera off and that is okay!

Our classes are structured for beginners, unless otherwise noted. We just ask students to bring their eagerness to learn!

They occur on different dates and may have different instructors. Sections A, B, and C of any class are the same level and course content.
