Summer Youth Studio

Explore nature and art through your five senses at Nature Remixed! In this mixed media art camp (for students entering grades 3-4), students will exercise their imagination and investigate their relationship with nature through touch, sound, sight, smell, and taste. Students will explore painting, photography, collage, sculpture, and sound art as they dive deep into their investigations of nature. All materials provided!

Have your voices heard in Speaking Walls, our upcoming social justice + mural workshop for teens. Students will explore and discuss murals in the city to further understand how public art is an undeniable means to express and represent youth's voice. Students will get hands-on experience with different mural techniques including wheat paste, spray paint, stenciling, and more. The week-long workshop with culminate in a collaborative mural of students' own design to be displayed at Root Division.
